Vartika and Kyle’s engagement photo shoot in the Gramercy Park area was a beautiful way to spend an evening. Georgia captured this beautiful couple in their local environment and got some stunning shots. This neighborhood is one of the most beautifully sculpted and maintained in the city. It’s no wonder these sunset NYC pre-wedding pictures ended up so gorgeous.

These two started off with some of the older building architecture around Gramercy Park. Irving Place features a bunch of picturesque and well-preserved buildings. It really feels like you’re walking through a movie set when you explore this area. As New York wedding photographers, it has to be one of our favorite places to take pictures.

Georgia then used some of the greenery and brickwork in the area to create a softer and more intimate feel. In the Gramercy area, there is so much lovely landscaping done to add some natural elements to your session. We love when couples choose this area for their iconic New York engagement photos. It’s a non-traditional location that yields beautiful results.

Another great part of this neighborhood is that it’s never too crowded. This photo shoot took place at sunset and managed to capture just the couple with little background distraction. If you want to consider a Gramercy Park engagement session, just remember that there are a limited number of keys for the park itself. While we didn’t enter the park, we did walk around the area and capture the essence of this neighborhood. It’s not totally necessary to have park access for a beautiful shoot in this location. We love the sprawling ivy that covers some of the buildings in this area. It gives the neighborhood a cozy, romantic feel. Georgia also used some brownstone steps that really do feel like a cinematic experience. This neighborhood really has all of the New York City type of staples to it.

At the end of the session, the couple sat down for a drink. It’s so cute when engagement shoots end with a little beverage. We love to capture couples in their element like this.
